Video: Health innovation fund launched
Te Tauraki research shows that Māori in Te Waipounamu experience barriers to accessing healthcare.
As part of its response, Te Tauraki has launched Te Kawe Oraka, a funding initiative supporting transformational projects that strengthen whānau wellbeing across Te Waipounamu (South Island) and Wharekauri/Rēkohu (Chatham Islands).
With investment starting from $100,000 and upwards, Te Kawe Oraka aims to fund high-impact initiatives that create meaningful outcomes for whānau Māori.
“This is about lasting change for whānau. We are looking for bold initiatives that could make a real difference,” says Te Tauraki Kaihautū Tuarua Tanith Petersen.
